Rockin' Little Dress Shop on Wheels
A whimsical, vintage trailer turned dress boutique on wheels. We roll into your show and pop-up our shop filled with ready to wear, handmade garments from newborn to adult sizes each created using new and vintage fabrics, notions and patterns for modern day use.

About
After collecting fabric and vintage linens for decades I have restored a vintage trailer to take my creations on the road, hence “Frocks On The Run” was born. I make a variety of women’s garments from vintage tea-dresses to 50’s era dresses and farm-style frocks, novelty skirts, vintage aprons and pin-up styles. I also make a large variety of girl’s dresses, nightgowns, rompers, baby bonnets, infant shoes, diaper covers and headbands. Each of my garments are one of a kind. Many are made from vintage pattern archives and lovingly sewn the way things were in bygone days with even some hand-stitching occasionally. I frequently use a mix of new and up-cycled vintage fabrics, trims, notions, tablecloths and runners to ensure each creation is unique. My designs are timeless styles and very wearable. I also make children’s costumes for dress-up or Halloween, like we wore when we were young.

I begin with freshly laundered linens, laces soaked and cleaned for whitening if they are old, buttons handpicked from jars of antique and retro notions. Each day I go to my sewing space, I select which fabrics I will work with, whether I am sewing women’s or children’s that day. Then I begin to sketch or write out my ideas and hunt through bins for just the right trims etc. for each dress or other garment I make. I try to have a large variety of sizes, so I will make about 40 of each thing before I move on from one style to another. I do this five days a week from October to May. On weekends, I go out sourcing, replenishing my stash.

It is my delight to do a few of the best local shows each year as I am a one person operation focusing on quality and uniqueness to give you a hand-made heirloom.

Customers are invited to browse inside the trailer where they will find an assortment of rompers, gowns and accessories, each one-of-a-kind

Vintage lingerie, slips and gowns are also available at some shows and I post these for sale here from time to time
